Associate Planner Kaylee Malloy gave a year-in-review of the town's GovWell permitting system rollout. She said multiple modules went live over the past year and highlighted resident-facing tools (a help bar trained on ordinances and workflows) that answer many queries after hours; GovWell data indicate roughly $776,000 has been processed through the system and about 1,500 permit records have been created since implementation.
Malloy described staff-side features including a running clock that tracks applicant and town time on permits, cross-departmental plan review workflow, and monthly/annual reporting capabilities. She said median permit issuance time across permit types now averages about one workday. Council members asked about payment processing fees and the town manager and clerk said they would provide a cost breakdown and the GovWell contract amount from claims.
