Resident urges council to start process to remove town manager, alleges embargo on hunting activity

Sean Bostock, who identified himself as a local business owner, used his two minutes during public comment to raise concerns about recent wildlife-control activity and town transparency. He said law enforcement and staff had been asked to keep information "embargoed" about a hunt moved up to the week and described a large drone survey planned to assess deer populations. "Tonight, I would request that the council start the process of removal of Kevin Beatty from town manager," Bostock said, citing alleged failures in open-records handling and communication.

Bostock also said staff declined to identify members of the fire territory board and accused the manager of prioritizing blocking access to records over fulfilling them. The council did not take immediate personnel action during the meeting; the comment was recorded during the public-comment period and referred to later in council discussion and the clerk-treasurer's report on public-records procedures.
