The facilities committee presented a number of procurement items that the full board approved by voice votes. The board approved a five-year transport agreement with Penteladata to provide point-to-point transport between Parkland School District and the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit (term 07/01/2026–06/30/2031).
The board also approved a one-year maintenance agreement with McClure under CoStars contract 008E231046 for two annual visits to district education buildings at a cost of $219,816. “The cost of this agreement is $219,816 and is for a term of 1 year,” the facilities representative told the board during the item presentation. The board extended the vending contract with Canteen through June 30, 2028 (with renewal options) and approved an agreement with Frazzled Beverage to supply frozen-sluppy machines; one board member recorded a nay on the Canteen vote.
Why it matters: the contracts cover operational services that directly affect maintenance budgets and student-facing services; the McClure dollar figure is a material line item that administrators said is within budget and routine for building upkeep.
