At its Dec. 15 meeting the DeWitt County Finance Committee recorded the following actions: the committee approved last month’s minutes (motion by Terry Ferguson, seconded by Jamie Prestegaard); approved claims (motion by Claro Carter, seconded by Terry Ferguson); referred the matter of employee Christmas bonuses to the full county board (motion by Terry Ferguson, seconded by Jamie Prestegaard); and adjourned at 5:23 p.m. (motion by Terry Ferguson, seconded by Jamie Prestegaard). All motions were carried by voice vote.
In addition to formal motions, the committee directed the County Administrator to update benefits agreements for the Chief Deputy and Jail Administrator to include FY27 and the wages as budgeted and to await an addendum from the Farmer City Fire Protection District’s attorney before returning ambulance-payment items to the committee. The next committee meeting is scheduled for Jan. 20, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
