During new business the council addressed legislative housekeeping: the second reading of Ordinance 48-2025 (amending codified ordinances chapter 1177, architectural design standards for commercial or multifamily development) and several resolutions.
Council moved to approve Ordinance 48-2025 on the record and then handled first readings and votes on multiple resolutions. Resolution 2-2026 authorizes a trade in village property and the council voted to approve it after a motion to waive the second reading. Resolution 3-2026 authorizes the village administrator to purchase equipment through the Ohio Department of Administrative Services Cooperative Purchasing Program, and Resolution 4-2026 establishes the parks master plan committee (the council also voted to waive second readings where noted). The motions to waive and to approve passed on voice votes and the clerk/members recorded "Yes" answers in the roll call portions of the transcript.
Council did not debate the resolutions at length in this excerpt. The parks master plan committee will be established and appointments to that committee will be completed at a future meeting, per council statements.
