Councilors moved through the annual list of committee and board appointments. Speaker 1 proposed appointments and the council affirmed a series of placements: Michael Terry as parks and recreation liaison, Aaron Lewis to the personnel and finance CIP committee, James Finn as the Pleasant Valley Joint Fire District representative, and Tyler Harriman and Jeffu Daley (transcript spelling) to the economic development committee and area development corporation seats respectively. Speaker 4 also moved to table the request to appoint a council representative to the US 33 / State Route 161 Corridor group until scheduling and dedicated discussion could be arranged.
Speaker 1 announced the nominations and the council voiced assent on each item. "Motion to appoint Tyler Harriman to the economic development committee," Speaker 4 said as part of the roll of organizational appointments. The council also appointed Justin Dreier (transcript spelling) to the Union County Chamber of Commerce representative role. The US 33/State Route 161 Corridor seat was explicitly tabled for a later meeting to allow a fuller discussion and scheduling.
