Memorial Health tells Plain City it is not leaving village — core services will remain

Memorial Health representatives told the council that rumors about a complete clinic closure in Plain City were incorrect and that core services will remain in the village.
"They were never and they are not leaving their current location," said Melanie Ziegler, vice president of community engagement for Memorial Health, referring to primary care and laboratory services in Plain City. Ziegler said physical therapy and occupational health services will move to a larger Jerome Medical Center campus to accommodate equipment, workspace and parking needs; Memorial Health representatives said those moves reflect long-term planning, not an immediate withdrawal of core services.
The village administrator and council members acknowledged the harm that earlier inaccurate statements caused residents and businesses and said they would strengthen communications going forward. Memorial Health said it has spent time calming patient concerns and correcting social-media posts since the earlier meeting.
