Board reallocates wage cost shares for water staff; asks NRD to move seasonal well out of wellhead protection area

On motion by Doug Rosekrans, seconded by Amanda Fangmeier, the board approved a new cost-share split for employee Jake Baker: 50% Water, 20% General, 30% Sewer. The minutes also record that Ross Blackledge's $5 raise, approved at the Sept. 25 meeting, will be charged entirely to the Water fund. The motions carried.
Blackledge reported that the Lower Platte South Natural Resources District drilled a solar well in the village's wellhead protection area that pumps approximately 5 gallons per minute; he said he "does not have any concerns with a well that pumps 5 gallons a minute" but the board reached consensus to request that NRD drill a replacement well outside the protection area. Separately, the village attorney said lagoon decommissioning at 9505 W Denton Rd cannot proceed without the rezoning to RE, tying that project to the zoning outcome.
The minutes do not record NRD's response or a firm timeline for any well relocation.
