Board renews permit allowing two horses at State Route 725 property

The Preble County Board of Zoning Appeals approved a two-year renewal on May 26 allowing two horses to remain on a fenced 1.97-acre property at 3943 State Route 725 East in Gratis Township.
Joshua Sharp said the renewal was simply to maintain the existing arrangement and that there are no plans to add more animals. “Like you said, it’s a renewal, I have my two horses there and we’re just lookin’ to maintain that,” Sharp said. The board approved Case 5766 under Section 816.03(O) for a period of two years.
Staff confirmed there were no known complaints on file and advised the applicant to coordinate with the zoning office for any future changes to animal counts.
