Emergency Manager Kristen Longville reported the county had been awarded a $500 grant to purchase an automated external defibrillator (AED). She requested and received board approval to attend the I Love You Guys Foundation school and community safety training in Pierre/Ft. Pierre in September, as well as permission for the chairman to sign the Quarter 3 Emergency Management report.
The board approved Longville’s travel request and signed report by motion; the meeting minutes record unanimous votes on both items. Longville also noted she had been invited by Lake Preston School to perform a safety walk-through as part of the training coordination.
