Barnes asked permission to advertise a letters‑of‑interest process for design engineering services for the Alexis Road and Stewart Road waterline improvement project, describing approximately 2,400 feet of replacement and plans to create a loop with Regency Hospital to add redundancy.
Council authorized the administration to begin the LOI process as an emergency measure. Barnes said some residents along Stewart Road have agreed to assist with easements if the petition option to extend a waterline is pursued. No design contract award was made at the meeting; council instructed staff to begin the solicitation.
