Dillon council approves Resolution 39-26 to amend 2026 budget, adds supplemental appropriations

The Town Council of Dillon voted unanimously to approve Resolution No. 39-26, amending the town's 2026 budget and authorizing supplemental appropriations for the General, Capital, Water and Sewer Plant Investment funds.
Carrie McDonnell, the town's finance and management consultant, told the council she had reconciled the 2025 audited figures to the accounting software and the adopted 2026 budget and recommended adjustments. "When you guys hired me back in May, one of the things you wanted me to do was to review all of the documents and make sure that the annual audit, the monthly and quarterly financials, and the annual budget, tied together," McDonnell said. She noted the changes reflect audited 2025 actuals, corrected payroll allocations and revised lodging and excise tax projections. McDonnell also said marina revenues were adjusted "based on the low water levels and those impacts moving forward."
McDonnell said the revised budget will be posted on the town website with narrative so the public can see the differences between the original and amended versions. After the presentation, no members of the public signed up to comment and no council questions were raised. A councilmember moved to approve the resolution; the motion was seconded and passed on a roll-call vote with all members voting yes (Ratano; White; Tine; Oliver; Hendricks; Rotano; Mayor Samuel).
