The resolution states that the plan should include supporting documentation such as project narratives, estimated costs, anticipated timelines and funding assumptions to facilitate a comprehensive review. "The Administration is respectfully requested to submit the finalized Fifteen-Year Capital Improvement Plan to the Wadsworth City Council no later than October 1, 2026," the resolution reads.
Council framed the deadline as a transparency and accountability measure intended to allow meaningful deliberation before appropriations are set. The draft resolution notes that nothing in the request alters statutory or charter responsibilities for budget preparation and adoption; it is a request for timely submission and supporting materials to inform Council's decisions.
