The Arapahoe County Board of Commissioners convened Aug. 4, adopted the meeting agenda and approved two resolutions related to the Board of Equalization: a correction of errors for tax year 2026 and adoption of referee recommendations as final BOE actions.
Chair opened the meeting, announced attendance and introduced Benjamin Schwarzenegger as the attorney of record who presented the BOE matters. Commissioners asked procedural questions about hearing counts and trend comparisons; Schwarzenegger said the report covered roughly 2,341 hearings and projected about a $35,000,000 reduction in actual assessed value after hearings. The chair opened public comment and recorded that there was none. The board passed both resolutions by voice vote and adjourned to a study session.
