City staff recommends Mercy House Cleaning for Section 8 weekly cleaning services

Jessica Gannes, director of the Section 8 program, reviewed a January request-for-proposals for weekly professional cleaning services at John Walsh Boulevard. "After careful evaluation of all the bids, Mercy House Cleaning Services has been identified as the lowest responsible bidder," Gannes said.
Council members asked whether references had been checked; Gannes confirmed references were requested from each bidder and Mercy House supplied more references than others. The committee voiced no objection and signaled support for staff to accept the proposal and proceed with contract award procedures. The item will return to the council with final contract documentation as required by procurement rules.
