Supervisor H. Joseph Easter raised concerns about assessed property values and potential impacts on county revenues during discussion of the county's real estate reassessment schedule. Chairman David M. Felts said workshops were being planned to provide the Board with additional information about the reassessment process and timeline. County Administrator Eric S. Pollitt reviewed the previously presented timeline for procurement and implementation of reassessment services.
Board members debated the timing of a public hearing on the proposed FY2027 budget and agreed that staff should distribute the revised budget document the following week to give the Board time to review before scheduling any public hearing. Pollitt said staff was performing a final quality control check on a few minor details and would provide the revised budget to the Board upon completion.
