Berkley Group CIP update: county staff to clean up capital items this fiscal year

The Board revisited items from an April 29 Capital Improvement Program presentation by the Berkley Group (Craig Meadows). Chairman David M. Felts asked County Administrator Eric S. Pollitt whether anything had changed since the presentation; Pollitt said no and added that he and Mr. Meadows would work to clean up CIP items this fiscal year and into FY2027.
Supervisor H. Joseph Easter asked about the apparent significant balance in the CIP fund and the purpose of retaining those funds. Pollitt and the board discussed follow‑up steps to clarify CIP balances; the board requested additional staff work and follow‑up reporting but took no formal action during the session.
