Wastewater master plan finished; SSO design packages ready to bid

City Engineer Glenn Davis said the Wastewater Master Plan is complete and provides staged capital recommendations; several SSO (sanitary sewer overflow) design packages are 100% complete and expected to go to bid within months, while the Durling Culvert needs easement work before construction.
The committee was briefed that the Wastewater Master Plan is finished and will guide one-, three- and five- to ten-year capital projects. Glenn Davis said the plan supplies the framework to prioritize and finance sewer work going forward.
Davis said SSO design packages covering multiple direct-inflow areas are complete and that lining and other SSO-related work will go to bid soon. He also noted the Durling Culvert project is close to construction but requires resolution of right-of-entry or easement matters with a nearby church and a private owner before mobilization.
