City updates: Dawna Drive, Airport loop and water-tower planning

The Public Service Committee received a status report on multiple water projects June 9. City Engineer Glenn Davis said Dawna Drive water-line placement and the Airport water-looping project are near-bid-ready; a water-tower site has been selected at the Brickyard and Water Treatment Plant Phase II has entered design.
Davis said the West Good Street and Longview Drive work will combine water-line placement with paving and is expected to be advertised for bids by the end of the year. The committee did not take immediate action but asked staff to keep the committee apprised as procurement and design milestones are reached.
