The Southampton Planning Board on Aug. 5 voted to accept a building permit that the chair had approved earlier in the week for a new house at 87 East Street. The chair told the board he had signed the permit after the applicant requested the frontage be shown on Pleasant Street and asked the board to ratify that administrative action.
A committee member moved to accept the chair’s prior approval and a second member supported the motion. The board voted unanimously to accept the permit. “He’s building a house and he wants the frontage on Pleasant Street,” the chair said during the brief exchange. The clerk and building inspector will receive formal notice of the board’s action.
