Committee approves budget amendment to accept orthoimagery grant

Meuer told the committee the county identified grant funding this year that allowed staff to acquire higher-resolution orthoimagery, and that the aerial flight took place in April. Because the grant was found after the original budget was set, a budget amendment was needed to receive and expense the funds.
The committee voted unanimously to accept the grant funding and forward the amendment to the County Board for their acceptance. "This grant allowed us to get higher resolution imagery for our orthoimagery this year," Meuer said during the briefing; the committee had no recorded objections.
