Chair Joe Hobelman reported on an anonymous complaint to NEDWEE regarding the sanitary sewer and public water systems and the board clarified access and authority at the treatment plant. Going forward, individuals entering the treatment plant must either hold an operator’s license or be a Village maintenance employee; maintenance employees without a license may record readings but are not authorized to alter water quality, quantity, or processes.
The minutes do not record a motion on this point; the provision was stated as the board’s direction during the discussion and is recorded as a new operating protocol to reduce risk and clarify who may make operational changes at the treatment facility.
