The Village of Denton Board of Trustees voted to declare 11 large round brome hay bales surplus and to offer them for public sale by sealed bid at the Feb. 2, 2026 regular meeting. Trustee Ryan Osborn moved for adoption of Resolution No. 1-2-26 and Trustee Amanda Fangmeier seconded; the motion carried.
The resolution specifies that the total fair market value of the items is less than $50 per statutory threshold for small sales and directs the village clerk to publish notice of the proposed sale in three prominent places in town and in the Lincoln Journal Star no fewer than seven days before the sale. The board reserved the right to reject any and all bids.
