The Village of Denton Board of Trustees discussed proposed increases to water and sewer rates and two draft ordinances at its Feb. 2 meeting. Amanda Fangmeier, a board member, moved to table consideration of the proposed rate changes and Ordinances 26-1-1 and 26-1-2; Trent Wheatley seconded the motion and the board carried it, postponing action until its March 2, 2026 meeting.
Board members referenced a rate study in the meeting packet but did not adopt any new rates or set specific rate amounts at this session. The tabling preserves time for additional review and public comment; the item will reappear on the March 2 agenda for further discussion and potential formal action.
