Committee forwards Pickell rezoning request so owner can continue keeping horses

Michael Pickell asked the committee to rezone roughly 10 acres at N1249 Plymouth Trail from Single-Family 20,000 (SF20) to Small Estate (SE) so the property can continue agricultural uses. Meuer said the owner "was not aware of the code rewrite and would like to continue having horses," and staff recommended the SE district as compatible with the 2045 Comprehensive Plan and county ordinances.
The committee voted unanimously to forward the map amendment to the County Board with a recommendation to approve. "Motion by Budde and seconded by Kesler to forward this onto County Board with recommendation for approval of the rezoning request," the record shows. There were no public objections noted in the hearing record.
