The Planning Commission voted to approve SD260004, the preliminary plat for Village of Waterford at 615 Kingsbury Court, which staff said formalizes an existing condominium development as a subdivision so it can be recorded as a subdivision plat.
A resident who stepped to the microphone identified himself as "Steve Bridal at 621 Kingsbury" and said the request was largely a formality tied to recording requirements. Planning staff (S3) explained the property was originally established as a condominium system around 2006 and that converting the existing development to a subdivision requires a plat approval so it can be recorded as such. Staff said the checklist items were met and the item will return for final plat approval; the commission moved, the ayes were called, and the motion passed.
Staff emphasized this is not new development but an administrative change in how the existing units are recorded. The chair closed the item and reminded attendees the final-plat review is set for April 1.
