Officer Trevor Larson to leave Long Prairie Police Department; council acknowledges 25 years of service

Long Prairie Police Chief Ryan Hanson briefed the council on department activity and staffing on Nov. 12, reporting 249 calls between Oct. 22 and Nov. 12 (about 17.79 calls per day), including 105 traffic-related calls and 96 assists. Hanson announced that Officer Trevor Larson’s official last day is Nov. 30, with his last working day on Nov. 26; the department will mark his departure with a reception at noon on Nov. 26.
The council accepted Larson’s resignation and formally acknowledged his retirement after 25 years of service. Council Member Gripne moved the acknowledgement, which passed unanimously; Mayor Kreemer and other council members expressed thanks for Larson’s service during the meeting.
