County manager asks commissioners to rank legislative priorities ahead of Aug. 14 deadline

County manager John Eller briefed the board on the process and timeline for compiling the county’s legislative priorities and asked commissioners to review and rank the items staff compiled.
Eller said staff had consolidated the board’s submissions and attached departmental context; there is no action required at the work session but the chair will sign a compiled letter. Commissioners were asked to return rankings by Aug. 12 to give staff time to finalize the submission before the Aug. 14 deadline.
“...what I did was I took what you had submitted, and I tried to give you some context to it,” Eller said, asking commissioners to provide a ranked list using a scoring tool so staff could prepare a prioritized letter to the County Commissioners Association.
