The Wahkiakum County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the May 12, 2026 consent agenda. The consent items included multiple resolutions authorizing payments: $978.62 from the Contingent Liabilities Cumulative Reserve Fund for medical expenses for a LEOFF Plan I member (Resolution No. 66-26); $28,342.95 from the Electronic Communications Cumulative Reserve Fund (Resolution No. 67-26); $2,000 to Wahkiakum Animal Advocates Group (Resolution No. 68-26); $2,000 to Wahkiakum Historical Society (Resolution No. 69-26); $2,000 to the Town of Cathlamet for the Blanche Bradley Memorial Library (Resolution No. 70-26); $4,953.73 for payment of accumulated annual leave and employer FICA/Medicare (Resolution No. 71-26); and an authorization for an interfund loan in the amount of up to $175,000 (Resolution No. 72-26). The consent package also recorded a voucher approval totaling $938,459.19.
Commissioner Lee Tischer moved to approve the consent agenda and Commissioner Mark Letham seconded; the board recorded aye votes from Tischer, Letham and Chair Daniel L. Cothren. The minutes show the board unanimously adopted the items with no separate discussion recorded on the floor during the May 12 meeting.
