Colter Hollingshead of Keller Associates told the council the wastewater treatment plant contractor has advanced the schedule and that Change Order No.1 covers several items related to soil, backfill and control panels; the total package described to council included an overall change in the millions but the specific change order before the council was presented as just over $200,000 and budgeted items already included some of those costs.
Hollingshead also presented Engineering Amendment No.3 to purchase SCADA hardware and related software as a pass-through under the city's contract, allowing required equipment to be included with the contract for USDA and compliance purposes. Council approved the change order and the amendment and authorized the mayor to sign the documents.
Council discussion noted the project is roughly 60–70% complete, concrete work mostly finished for the season and that at present the project is moving ahead on schedule with the DEQ compliance target next year.
