The appointments approved include Alex Salas as Summer School Principal/Teacher; job‑share pairs Theresa Carroll and Brett Tyler for the SDC/Intervention position; Shannon Padilla and Linda Rosa and Amy Espindula and Kelli Redman as job‑share classroom teachers; Sharon Ostrander as a teacher; Yajayra Hernandez as Summer School Secretary; Angela Bailey as Summer Food Service Worker; Maria Mendez and Shiree Ribeiro as Summer School/ELOP Para‑Educators; and Debbie Nunes as Summer Bus Driver. The board recorded approval motions with votes reported as Ayes 3, Noes 0, Abstentions 0.
The board also approved April Gomez as a Food Service II Worker and noted that searches for an SDC/Resource Teacher and a Resource/Math Intervention Teacher remain in process. In public session the board confirmed acceptance of the resignation of Employee #03-10-26-01 and, by formal action, gave Superintendent Cherise Olvera authority to accept resignations on behalf of the Board under the direction of the Board President or Board representative and to hire the two resource teaching positions noted above. The closed‑session personnel approvals were moved and seconded (motions recorded as moved by Steve Soderstrom and seconded by Rob Santos).
