Auditor reads and Board adopts several Planning & Zoning plats; canvass date set for July 30

The Board accepted and adopted Resolution #2026-7 (Ash Grove Addition), Resolution #2026-9 (Whitewood Storage Addition), and Resolution #2026-10 (Outlot 20 plat) by roll-call votes recorded as aye. The Board later adopted Resolution 2026-12 for the Lake Preston Cemetery Second Addition and authorized the chairman to sign.
Steffensen also reported election-related deadlines: because the governor runoff election is scheduled for July 28, 2026, the canvass must be completed within six days of the election and no later than Monday, August 3; the Board scheduled the canvass for Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 8:30 A.M. The Board approved paying out 1,164.36 hours of vacation and 14.08 hours of compensatory time to a former deputy auditor.
