The second authorizes filing a 2027 Enhanced Mobility (Section 5310) grant application to secure a new senior‑center transportation van; staff said the grant requires a 20% local match and confirmed that if the city wins both mobility grants it will proceed through procurement. The third resolution supports filing an application for an interior restoration project; staff said they anticipate an award announcement in June.
Council members discussed vendor quotes for the van (staff noted a January quote may need updating), the procurement track to honor term contracts where applicable, and a projected in‑service date of spring 2027 if the van is awarded. After suspending rules and invoking emergency clauses as needed, council adopted the resolutions by roll call (Resolutions 26‑46, 26‑47 and 26‑48 were entered as adopted on the record).
Council emphasized the advantage of pursuing multiple funding tracks to improve the city’s chance of getting needed equipment and restoration funds. Staff will follow up on matching‑fund logistics and procurement timing if awards are made.
