The Bristow City Council approved three Parks & Recreation use agreements for 2026 on Feb. 17, each with a nominal annual rent of $1.00. The agreements cover the Bristow Round‑Up Club (BRC), the Soccer Club and the Bristow Sports Complex; Councilmember Judd Johns asked that the BRC be required to mow its leased area rather than using city public works crews.
Council discussed the terms and Johns said he had reviewed the BRC agreement and other leases and concluded that lessees should maintain leased grounds. The council approved the BRC agreement with a revision to Article IV, Section 4.4 to state the BRC, not the city, is responsible for mowing. Motions to approve the Soccer Club and Sports Complex agreements also passed on roll-call votes.
