The Tangipahoa Parish School Board on Aug. 4 accepted substantial completion for the Ponchatoula High School roof replacement completed by She Bills Roofing and Construction LLC, according to the staff report. A contractor representative who attended the meeting summarized the walk-through with the architect and said "no outstanding items" remain and remaining punch-list items will be fixed under the contractor warranty.
Board members asked whether the cost was covered and how much decking had been replaced. Staff said decking allowances were exceeded: "We even had allowance of around 22,000 square feet to be replaced. We exceeded that allowance," a district representative said. The motion to accept substantial completion passed by roll call.
The board recorded no public comment on the item at the meeting.
