Health department schedules rabies clinic April 17 and lead-worker RRP training April 27

Deputy Director Deanna Ryan said Environmental Health and Health Education divisions are scheduling multiple public events and trainings for spring and summer.
"Our first free to the public Rabies vaccination clinic will be held on April 17th in partnership with the SPCA. Registration is preferred but walk-ins are allowed," Ryan told the board. The Lead Program is hosting an RRP training course on April 27 to allow contractors and landlords to obtain lead-remediation certification. Health Education staff reported a growing community-events calendar and plans for Bike to School days in May.
The department also introduced Andrew Rude as the new Senior Public Health Educator and said immunization clinics remain steady while staff begin preparing back-to-school immunization schedules for school nurses.
