Commission authorizes purchase of replacement Heritage lift station, staff cites 28'to'2-week lead time

"This is the one we call Heritage," Lynn McNamee said, explaining the station serves the Bluebird/Cardinal neighborhood and that installation and electrical upgrades are separate future work items.
McNamee said the quoted price for the replacement unit from Smith & Loveless is $67,481 and asked the commission for $70,000 of budget authority to allow for shipping or price changes. The purchase will be charged to the wastewater capital-improvement plan; commissioners authorized staff to make the purchase by voice vote. Staff said they expect to request additional funds next year for installation and electrical work.
