The council approved a service agreement with Anderson & Bolander LLC to prepare schematic design, design development and construction documents for the Hannah Homestead redevelopment project at a cost of $309,650.
Chad Schall, deputy director of planning and landscape for Parks and Recreation, said staff received 14 proposals and the selection committee recommended Anderson & Bolander based on demonstrated experience and proposed fee. Schall described the project scope โ a rentable pavilion, event plaza, adjacent lawn, internal circulation paths, new basketball courts, a splash pad, landscape improvements and opportunities for public art and lighting โ and noted funding would include a $100,000 Knight Foundation grant, a $200,000 Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne grant and parks cumulative capital funds for the remainder.
