Carneys Point promotes from within, appoints business manager and HR manager

Following an executive session, the Carneys Point Township Committee unanimously approved two personnel resolutions creating the positions of Township Business Manager and Township Human Resources Manager and appointed internal candidates to each role.
Mrs. Shaw moved to appoint Casey English as Township Business Manager (Resolution 2025-171); the motion was seconded by Mr. Pelura and passed unanimously. The Committee then moved to create the HR Manager role and appoint Bonnie Kelly (Resolution 2025-172); that motion also carried by unanimous vote. Mayor Brown said the solicitor, A. Telsey, was directed to draft a letter to employees announcing the new appointments.
The Committee said the decision followed a recruitment after losing the previous administrator and that hiring was conducted from internal applicants. The Committee also authorized the donation of time between employees and then adjourned the meeting at 7:32 p.m.
