Township adds $88,000 recreation grant for pickleball courts, staff lists fall events

The Committee authorized insertion of an $88,000 Local Recreation Improvement Grant into the 2025 budget to fund pickleball courts at the Recreation Complex. Mrs. Shaw moved the budget insertion and the motion passed unanimously.
Mrs. Shaw and other department staff also reported a slate of community events: a Back-to-School party at Dunns Park on Sept. 7 (11 a.m.–1 p.m.) featuring games, music and activities; a Community Yard Sale on Sept. 13–14; and Trunk-or-Treat at Dunns Park on Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. The Police Department and Recreation partnered on a "Slice for Safety" program, in which children demonstrating kindness or safety receive coupons for a free slice at local pizzerias redeemable through Aug. 31.
