The Carneys Point Township Committee voted unanimously on a package of resolutions and routine business at its Sept. 17 meeting, approving redevelopment changes, a property tax refund tied to a veteran exemption, release of performance bonds, and other municipal actions.
The Committee approved vouchers totaling $885,205.85 and accepted August departmental reports after motions from Mr. Bomba and Dr. Johnson. Among the formal items the body adopted RESOLUTION 2025-173 to amend a redevelopment agreement with Crossroads Realty Partners to permit subdivision of a site into two marketable buildings; attorney Clint Allen said the change leaves all other terms intact and that "the County of Salem granted the waiver." The body also approved RESOLUTION 2025-176 to refund and cancel 2025 property taxes on Block 102, Lot 2 under a 100% total veteran exemption ($512.42 refund; $1,441.15 cancellation).
Other approvals included RESOLUTION 2025-175, a tri-party agreement involving Carneys Shell Urban Renewal, LLC and TBG Funding, LLC, described by counsel as a financing arrangement that uses redevelopment as collateral; RESOLUTION 2025-179 to release performance and payment bonds for Landberg Construction, LLC; and RESOLUTION 2025-180 canceling certain capital grant receivables and funded improvement authorization balances. The Committee recorded unanimous votes on these measures.
