The Auditor-Treasurer presented several routine administrative items that the board approved by voice vote. The board accepted memorial donations totaling $3,485 for a veteran service and approved a joint powers agreement with the State of Minnesota to provide recount services for primary and general elections; the state will reimburse the county 4 cents per ballot if a recount is required, the auditor said. The board also approved a gambling permit for a raffle to be held at the Old Number 1 Bar and Grill on Saturday, Oct. 24, and approved a tobacco license for Morris Liquor Store tied to its new location.
Board members asked a clarification about the donation amount and confirmed the amount on the motion paperwork before voting. No public opposition was recorded during the discussion of these administrative items.
