Streets Supervisor Bob Phillips reported a sinkhole at Municipal Lot #1 had damaged a 24" clay tile line and suggested a plan including replacing the clay tile in the sinkhole area, reconnecting pipes, installing a larger catch basin, and replacing approximately 10 feet of pipe. Two written estimates were presented: Mansfield for $22,295 and McLallen Construction for $23,450; both proposals required the Borough to provide a truck during the project.
After discussion of engineer recommendations from Insight and Tim Wells, the council voted unanimously to accept Mansfield's $22,295 bid. Councilor Steadman moved the measure and Councilor Osborn seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
