The Piedmont City Council approved its seven-item consent calendar on March 3, 2025, including a records and information management program policy councilors said had been decades in the making.
Council member Ramsey singled out staff work on Item 7 and Council members repeatedly thanked city clerk and administrator staff for moving the policy forward. "This is something that we've been avoiding for over 30 years," a councilor said, praising staff for producing a long-awaited policy.
Mayor Anderson called for a motion; council member Long moved approval and the vice mayor seconded. The clerk recorded unanimous assent: six "Aye" votes were audible and the chair declared the consent calendar passed. The policy is expected to help staff digitize records and make it easier to respond to public records requests.
