Floodwood board sets March 2025 start for new strategic plan; seeks broad community input

The Floodwood Public School District working session on Sept. 16 reviewed the district's current 2021 strategic plan, the ARCC district worksheet, enrollment projections drawn from census numbers, the World's Best Workforce and Literacy plans, and notes from a City of Floodwood brainstorming session. Board members and staff agreed that a new strategic plan will be developed starting in March 2025 and that the effort will include structured review by advisory committees, small staff groups and board working sessions.
Superintendent Sue Hoeft and Principal Amanda Fjeld participated in the review and the board directed that community input be collected over the coming months as the school year begins and new staff committees are formed. The working session recorded that input will be solicited from families and the public during events and through other outreach so the board can evaluate next steps based on survey and committee feedback.
