Carneys Point hires multiple public works laborers, approves budget insertions and introduces right-of-way ordinance

The Committee approved hiring multiple new employees: Justin Donald Snyder, Albert Thomas Kinter and Hyam T. Jackson as Public Works laborers (effective July 21 and 23 as noted), Jeremiah Daniel as a Public Works laborer, Jamie Mayhew as a part-time violation clerk in Municipal Court, and Amy Lynn Stanley in the Construction Office. Each hire was approved by motion and unanimous vote.
The committee also approved Chapter 159 insertions into the 2025 budget: a $4,200 Joint Insurance Fund (JIF) safety-incentive credit and a $1,341.16 Alcohol Education Rehabilitation Grant. Mayor Brown explained the JIF credit: “this is from our Joint Insurance, when we comply with the trainings and such, we get money back.” The committee introduced Ordinance 1072, accepting a deed of dedication for a right-of-way, and approved canceling 12 outstanding checks from 2023–2024.
The meeting then moved to executive session and reconvened at 7:43 p.m.; the meeting adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
