Lynch said the program began in 2024 with 18 children, grew to 86 the second year and serves 129 this year. She described two sessions: June 22–26 for ages 5–7 and July 13–17 for ages 8–12, noting the camp provides free breakfast, lunch, take‑home safety materials and hands‑on demonstrations from fire, EMS and law-enforcement agencies. "This is all completely for free," Lynch said, and asked the board to consider modest local support and to share program information on the county website and social media.
Supervisors agreed the program is valuable and requested Lynch provide a budget and donation list; the board suggested Lynch return to a July meeting for a follow-up report. Lynch said she will email the board the budget, flyer and donation packet.
