Committee member Mr. Pelura moved to certify the audit and to approve the vouchers; Dr. Johnson seconded and the motions passed unanimously. Mr. Pelura credited township finance staff and department cooperation for the audit's “no findings” result, a streak he said dates to 2008. Dr. Johnson, in departmental reporting, said, “they have 1,186 pending cases,” referring to municipal court caseloads.
The committee also heard that courtroom technology upgrades are slated for early August and that tax bills were being mailed with a state deadline of July 18. Mayor Brown said future tax bills will include a pie chart showing where tax dollars are allocated. The committee voted without opposition on these financial and administrative items.
