Gallery 23 residents warn proposed sports complex would overwhelm local streets
Summary

Two Gallery 23 residents used the public‑comment period to ask the council to consider traffic and maintenance risks tied to a proposed rezoning for a Dodge County Sports Complex.
"We are concerned that if they build this complex that it will...increase that traffic to the point where it'll be impossible to get out of our addition," said Jane Gibson, who said her neighborhood sits outside east of Highway 275 and along Highway 30 and that traffic has "literally doubled" since she and her spouse built their home. Gibson asked whether a new entrance off Highway 275 would be added; she said she was told the state would not build an additional entrance.
Vicky Allen, a trustee on the SID who said she represents the neighborhood, described a history of a nonresponsive developer and expressed worry that a large complex would be similarly neglected. Allen cited a vacated RTG building and problems with maintenance, sanitation and snow removal that she said fell to neighbors and county services. Both asked the city to clarify access, parking plans and long‑term maintenance commitments before rezoning moves forward.
