Bristow council approves consent agenda, large CDBG transfers and payroll claims

The Bristow City Council on Jan. 20 approved a consent agenda that included maintenance claims, payroll claims and multiple budgeted transfers from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) fund.
Councilmember Joe Church moved to approve the consent agenda, which included an approval of maintenance claims totaling $36,947.43; actual payroll claims of $102,243.16 for the pay period ending Jan. 16, 2026; and estimated payroll claims of $109,623.44 for the pay period ending Jan. 30, 2026. The roll-call vote was unanimous.
The consent action also authorized several interfund transfers from the CDBG Fund: $46,540 to the City General Fund for 911 reimbursement; $195,227 to the Airport Grant Fund for the city's grant match; $298,694.48 to the Municipal Authority Fund for the Route 66 sewer line utility relocation project; and $48,451.20 for the Route 66 water line relocation. The council approved smaller claims including Claim #20176 to The Childs Firm for $537.50 and Claim #20177 to Andy Armstrong for $1,000 for grant administration work on the Heartland Industrial Park.
The consent-approval process bundled routine claims and transfers to expedite council business; no councilmember recorded opposition to the consent vote.
